Jennifer was born in Michigan and grew up in Louisville, KY. She has spent over 20 years working with horses. Her first horse was Misti, a Saddlebred mare. After a few frustrating years in the Hunter/Jumper world (the judges do not like saddlebreds!), Jennifer and Misti entered their first event at Spring Run Horse Trials in Prospect, KY. They had a blast and finished in second place. This was the beginning of Jennifer's love for eventing.
Jennifer attended college at the University of KY where she continued to compete in eventing. She also worked for a farm in Lexington. After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts & Advertising, Jennifer moved to Dallas where she spend 10 years as a Graphic Designer and working her way to the Advanced Level.
In 1995, Jennifer found a thoroughbred off the track, Tommy's Pop Gun. She took this new prospect slowly, to build a confident and sucessful partnership. They went all the way to Advanced level and were Long-Listed after an amazing, 1-stirrup ride at the Radnor Hunt 2-Star 3-Day Event. Jennifer's stirrup leather broke off her saddle after fence 3, and she continued around 3 miles of Radnor's tough course without jumping penalties. Jennifer and Tommy's strong partnership took them to many top finishes and a move up to Advanced level.
Today, Jennifer is living in the Lexington, Ky area. She works as an Graphic Designer and trains horses for eventing. Jennifer is in the market for a few prospects for the spring season, and is building her event training business.
