News and Updates

With the 2007 season underway in Florida, we opted to stay home this winter. Of course, it is always a decision made by financial reasons! I am working full-time as a Graphic Designer for a small company in Nashville. It kind of pays the bills...

Ray had a 2 month vacation, pulled shoes and all. He is really doing well since I legged him up a few weeks ago. He is on field board for the winter and is fairing very well for a TB! He is a hearty guy. I am bringing him back slowly from his time off with lots of trail riding, lots of slow hill work and a touch of jumping and dressage. He loves the trails and it is really bringing his character out. He loves the long rides and is more like a partner than a horse off the track.

I am planning on bringing Ray out at Novice level for his first show, then up to his training debut at May Daze at the horse park. His jumping is excellent. Before his vacation, we won the Open Novice at Middle Tennessee HT on a dressage score of 27.5! Happy me! He was schooling 4' with ease and should be very competitive this year. My main goal with him is the training level 3-day.

Tom and I bought a horse for Caeleigh. He is a wonderful, older horse that will be a great first horse for her (after the pony stage). I plan to have a bit of fun with him at the lower levels to keep him honest.

Caeleigh is growing like a weed. She is 16 months old and just about to start talking up a storm. She is in daycare during the week, and really loves it. She makes herself a stage and gets up on it and dances and sings to the other kids in class... budding Nashville star!
