Miniature Black Angus cattle, or Lowline Angus cattle, developed in Australia through decades of breeding and research, are ideal for small-acreage farms. They are easy to care for and handle, need far less forage, and make a lot less mess! They were originally developed for their efficiency, producing proportionally more beef per amount of feed than their larger-sized ancestors, and finishing out on grass alone, without the need for fattening up at feed lots. They also have shorter gestation periods than the standard breeds, allowing them to produce more calves in less time. But we love them because they are tame, easy to handle, and a lot of fun. In addition, they count just as much toward your agricultural tax exemption as the big ones!

We offer a small selection of calves, bulls, heifers, or steers (depending on what we get each year), and shipped frozen semen from our registered fullblood American Lowline bull "Texas", who was bred by Mini Cows West in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Though miniature cattle are higher priced than many standard varieties, they make up for it in feed and labor savings. Trust us, we know!
